- Although designed by Doulton & Co, this plate carries the stamp of St. Andrews, displaying a thistle and Scottish flag within a shield and a crown on top. This is a stamp that goes back to 1901 when King Edward VII granted a Royal Warrant to Henry Doulton, taking the Name 'Doulton' to 'Royal Doulton'. And the rest, as they say, is history!
