A superb very large Blue and White Antique Ironstone China Meat Platter

  • A large and heavy 16-inch by 12.75-inch pale blue and white Ironstone china meat plate
  • Colandine pattern is associated with Llanhely potteries in South Wales and this platter dates from between 1830 and 1850
  • Rich cobalt blue transfer was introduced around 1830 and icludes pagoda temples floral Chinoise elements and an open floral border
  • Triple kiln support marks, area of staining on underside as shown
  • There is some tiny antique glaze crazing and some very faint staining in glaze lines but overall the patina is right for its age
  • A wonderful antique display piece of blue and white Llanely Pottery
