Antique English late Victorian floral china Turquoise Blue and White Grecian Pattern 4-piece Sauce Tureen Set
- Made by Sampson Bridgwood & Son at the Anchor Works, Sutherland Road, Longton.
- A fine example of the popular Grecian (sometimes printed Gredian pattern)
- Date range 1860-1887
- Used Antique condition with heavy gilt surface and fine glaze crazing with brown staining as shown
- Condition notes, small chip/nick on tureen pedestal base see video.
- Earthenware china or Opaque Porcelain.
- Partial printed GrecianĀ
- 10-inch long twin handles rectangular small tureen with lid, ladle recess and molded twist handle overall height 5.5-inches on the saucer
- 7.25-inch original ladle
- 8-inch saucer plate5.75-inch wide gadrooned rimsĀ remnants of gilt
- The Anchor works produced both china and earthenware. In china, all the usual tea, breakfast, and dessert services were made - partly for the home, but principally for the United States and Canadian markets.Ā
